The BIG Dream Gathering visited Cape Girardeau, Missouri this week. We met with a group of incredible dreamers. Former football players and graduates of Southeast Missouri State University. This group of guys saw a need for mentorship in their community.
They began by volunteering and become Co-Founders of the Honorable Young Men Club. The club is dedicated to teaching young boys how to respect themselves and others, how to give back, and how to be accountable.
We were able to watch them teach a class and were blown away at the respect the kids had for the mentors as well as the pride they felt by being part of this club. Then we headed over to SEMO to get ready for our BIG Dream Gathering. We had a great mix of students, faculty and community members join us.
Inspiration and encouragement could be felt throughout the space as dream sheets began to fill the walls. We saw members of the community supporting one another and igniting some inspiration in complete strangers. We loved having dreamers of all ages come together and could feel the encouragement throughout the room!
