We made our way to Waverly, Iowa this week and returned to Wartburg College for a BIG Dream Gathering.  We did things a little bit differently by kicking off the day with the BIG Dream Gathering. This event was part of Wartburg’s orientation kickoff so the room was filled with 500 freshman ready to begin their college journey.

Our afternoon was filled with some furry friends as we spent time with Retrieving Freedom, an organization dedicated to training service animals for veterans and children with autism. What makes this organization extra special is how they involve the community in every step of the process.

We were able to meet those who fostered puppies, Wartburg students who helped to train them, and veterans who are now supported by them. It was incredible to see the impact the dogs had on others and to learn about the importance of service animals. The service dogs help improve the lives of the people they are placed with by helping with specific tasks associated with their training, but they also offer companionship and unconditional love.

Thanks to our incredible partner American Family Insurance for fueling the BIG Dream Gathering and for being such a fantastic partner! We loved seeing the agents encouraging all the participants and dreaming BIG alongside the attendees.

Until next time… keep dreaming BIG! #1milliondreams
